BCES is super excited to announce the Rambler Cup Recipient this week- 3rd Grader Wyatt Wuerth from Mrs. Longcore's class! This is our way to celebrate when a student is trying their best to be Respectful, Responsible, Caring, Safe, and Kind with a prideful love for school. Congratulations to our November Students of the Month at BCHS! 9th Grade Myra Guzniczak: Myra has been amazing at helping with after school events this month, she volunteered her own time to help do two catering events. At the BMB dinner, she was a rockstar; helping to take care of guests and help her team get a very big job done. 10th Grade Toby Yang: Toby is a Student I wish I could MOLD! He never takes a break I mean everywhere I see him he is doing some type of homework. His concentration is amazing. I see him in the hallway, the cafeteria, my classroom, I mean he is always working on something. Personally you could not ask for a nicer young man. Toby's dedication and commitment to absolutely everything he does makes him a great candidate for student of the month. I have never seen a student working so hard to maintain his GPA. He also wrestles and gives 100% everyday. He is a leader in the classroom and I wish more students had his drive to be successful! 11th Grade Brayden Dunlop: I nominated Brayden last month because of his great start to the school year. He continues to maintain all A's and B's, which is a big academic improvement for him. He also has made great improvement in his attendance this year. In general, Brayden has a very positive attitude. He brightens many people's day with his smile and is quick to say "hi" and give a fist bump in the hallway. 12th Grade Thomus Buning: Thomus has made some amazing academic gains! He is kind and helpful and can be found holding the doors open for others most mornings. He has stepped right up to help run the Java Joy coffee business and has even researched ways to recycle our coffee grounds and the empty pods. He's also taken initiative to learn our Square sales system on his own! I am very proud of the young man he has become. #boynepride

4th Grade students have been working hard on their Veteran's Day projects throughout the month. Today they were able to share their families stories and bring in family members to speak about their experience serving in our military. We are thankful and grateful for each and every service member and veteran who help to keep our country safe. #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

This week the Kindergarten, 1st, and 4th graders read the book Balloons Over Broadway! They learned a lot about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, specifically how the balloon floats have developed into what they are today. That being said, they created their very own balloons in preparation for the first annual BCES Pre Thanksgiving Day Parade which was held yesterday afternoon through the BCES halls. #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

Congratulations to Mr. Brandon Ivie, who has been selected as this years Outstanding Person in Education for Boyne City Public Schools! Each year in the Spring, through the Michigan Education Association and the 14-BC Coordinating Council, there is a banquet here in northern Michigan, where educators from each school district are honored with an Outstanding Person in Education Award. Today is National Substitute Educators Day. The BCES would like to say THANK YOU to Ms. Honrath for all you do for our students and staff here at the Elementary School. The Boyne City High School Fine Arts Department has started a brand new initiative at BCHS called the FINE ARTS SPOTLIGHT. We will be recognizing students periodically in the areas of Music, Theater, and Visual Art. Last week, we shared the first spotlight with Sophomore Eeva Rintala. Today, we would like to recognize senior Adonae Patton, with a note from BCHS Art instructor Jim Beckering. Great job Adonae! #boynepride

Come join us for Market Day at Boyne City Middle School on November 27 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM! Our talented students will be offering handmade crafts, baked goods, and much more. 4th Grade students had a memorable field trip to Veterans Park on Monday, where Ron Crozier joined them to share fascinating stories about Boyne City’s Veterans. The students not only learned about our town’s rich history but also had a special opportunity to honor Boyne City veterans, gaining a deeper appreciation for their service.
