BCES is super excited to announce the Rambler Cup Recipient this week- 1st Grader Arlette Zara-Zambrano from Mrs. Bacon's class! When a student is awarded the Rambler Cup, they take it home for the week and their name will be engraved on it at the end of the school year. #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares
This week in 4th grade our junior biologists dissected owl pellets. Students have been reading and writing about these majestic birds. Come take a birds eye view of what the kids have been learning at BCES. #boynepride #boyneinspires
What a sweet surprise our Varsity Volleyball team received today, from the kindergarten class of 2037! The kindergarteners came to the High School today to bring hand drawn pictures and flowers to our volleyball team, as a good luck charms for their District Volleyball game tonight in the Wheelhouse! Thank you, Mrs Fitzpatrick, Mrs Richards, Mrs Fiel and Mrs Klooster for all of the Rambler support!

Halloween was a little spooky and a whole lot sweet at the BCES last week. Visits to The Brook and Boyne Senior Center spread the Halloween cheer and the rain held out just long enough for our annual parade on the track. The day was full of smiles, tricks and treats!! #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares
The Science classrooms at BCHS were alive with interactive lessons this morning! Ms. Calnen's Physical Science class was using the new Anatomage Table to do a lesson on the Law of Conservation of Mass. Nextdoor, Mr. Bryant's Conceptual Physics class was testing their mousetrap cars.

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for October at Boyne City High School! Below are pictures and written nominations for each student.
9th Grade - Grady Ragan
Grady has been a great student so far this year! In Pre-Algebra he has been a huge help in class, whether that be answering questions, completing his notes/assignments on time, or helping other students out when they have questions.
10th Grade - Olivia Eckerle
Olivia is one of the most resilient students I've ever met. She is a student who wants to learn, not just to get a good grade, but to truly master the material. She is quiet, but always engaged. Although I only have Olivia in English, last week she asked to sit in on our creative writing class. Despite note being in the class, she participated in our class activities and helped her peers revise their short stories. She works so hard, and she deserves this recognition.
11th Grade - Abigail Jaroneski
Abigail is a great student. She is a great student because she has a great work ethic. She is very persistent.Things are not always easy, but Abi works until the job gets done correctly. Abi is doing a great job working with other students. Abi has been working with a 9th grader on math on her own time, even though she has her own work to do. Abi is involved with extracurricular (cheerleading), and works many hours outside of her school day She makes great decisions because she has a strong sense of right and wrong and how all students should be treated. We are very fortunate to have a student like Abi at Boyne City High School.
12th Grade - Ethan McQueen
Ethan is outstanding student every month. He is responsible, not only in doing his homework, but he owns his level of learning and understanding the most difficult concepts. He takes challenging courses and isn't afraid of working hard to learn. He questions to gain a deeper understanding of the material. He is polite and respectful and is very deserved of Student of the Month recoginition. Due to a unique and unpredictable set of circumstances regarding our 2nd year returning RSN crew either being nominated for Homecoming Court, or on the Varsity Volleyball team (or both), Ethan had to be thrust with no experience or background into the key 'Quarterback' role on the RSN Production Crew. He is the first student who has ever been asked to step directly into the Technical Director role, and had to learn and pick up a very complicated and fast moving job extremely fast with very little actual rehearsal and practice. Not only has Ethan embraced the challenge and sought out and spent the time outside of class time to pick up the technical knowledge needed, he has stepped up and shown amazing maturity, leadership and want to make the productions on his watch the best they can be.

BCPS Families:
November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and from our Early Learners through our high school buildings, we have Boyne students and staff with Type One Diabetes (T1D). T1D is a life-long condition that has no cure.
For these reasons, Boyne City Public Schools will be promoting Diabetes Awareness for the month of November, and on World Diabetes Day, November 14th, a special "Boyne Wears Blue" day for Type One Diabetes Awareness. We will be offering these shirts and sweatshirts with proceeds going directly to supporting our very own Boyne diabetic students.
Please see the link below for purchasing a “Boyne Wears Blue” shirt. These items will be delivered on November 12/13th so that they can be worn on November 14th. As of now, the link only includes adult sizes, but we are working on adding youth sizes. Please reach out to Ellen Dart at edart@boyne.k12.mi.us with any questions.
